It's a PROJECT! No engine, no prop, no wings and most of the interior is missing. Also, no logs! I will put up pics soon but if there are any aviation nuts here..... It's at the house in Thurmont MD

There are. Probably fewer who think they (we?) can afford a project airplane.
I just got back from Palm Springs with a visit at their excellent aircraft museum, and I still don't think I'm frothed up enough to try that.
And there's something weird about trying to do a fly'n'drive with a rental truck to carry something that should be a fly'n'fly cross country...
A Cherokee was the second airplane I ever went up in, and the first I enjoyed after a really unpleasant start with a family friend in a Cessna 152.

Some. But perversion is a matter of taste.
Is there an automotive equivalent to flying a glider?
In my head, I imagine putting my car at the top of a hill, put it in neutral and then see how far I can keep the momentum going.
Is a plane with no wings or engine or prop really a "project plane?" Seems more like a cool piece of large scale art or a playhouse in the making. I'd love it for a playhouse for the kids, but the logistics of getting it from MD to OH seem too difficult to top. I wonder what it would cost to ship? It can't be cheap to move something like this. Edit to add: and it looks like the landing gear is attached to the wings, so does this even roll? If not, loading and unloading it would be an expensive proposition.
I have a 70' rock cliff in the back yard where there's a road down at the base. I've always wanted the fuselage of a small plane to hang over the edge as if it crash landed in our back yard. She would not be happy or amused if I ever did find a suitable crappy part to do this. I keep looking anyway!

You described Gliding. like a sled down a snowy hill.
We do soaring, as described in the link. I'm easily bored so the challenge of staying aloft when you're at 2,000 ft. and 100 miles from home is good fun. The last pic I posted is a motor glider, cruises at 100 mph, good for getting somewhere; boring. BUT, if the engine pukes I coast at a 27:1 glide, offering more choices for landing.

It's now a tail dragger.
There was a helicopter body at a park we stopped at once in a while when I was a kid. It was fun. Bell something, I'm sure. Even had all the gauges until somebody smashed them all. Interior was gutted after that.

I am totally in for this! It will be a thousand times better than the mannequin hanging christmas lights with the tipped over ladder.

Well it does have the full cowl, engine mount and nose gear, add a beat up old Hartzall prop and you'd be good
