I've wanted a Mav ever since I saw Desmond's Trans Am drawing in CarCraft 25 years ago.

My parents bought one of those new and I'm pretty sure it was under two grand. Same color too.

Ford had a bunch of cars that were vandalized at some central lot in New York and they discounted them. Their car had a hole in the passenger side door panel that looked like it was poked with a pencil. That was the worst of it.

Sounds right. I recall they were advertised for $1995 the first year or two. A new 1970 Beetle was priced at $1874.
