Last raced at 2000 Solo 2 Nationals (I think), in storage past twenty years and not started in ten. It still looks like the photo, just dusty in a small garage.
Built and raced by Bill Condrashoff from a rust-free California car. Since moving to Illinois in the mid-90s it has never been street-driven and always garaged. I raced it 1998 through 2000 as Condrasoff built it (Nationals trophies in ’98 and ’99), then set about revising it with help from Jim Susko (G-Force Engineering); I finished it but never sorted it --- lost interest when these cars were re-classified CSP c2001.
Powertrain
- 1500cc refreshed by Prather Racing, only an hour or so shakedown since rebuild
- Electromotive TEC2 crank-triggered ignition and fuel injection
- 4-choke intake built from 2 x 40 DCOE Weber carbs with ports for OEM injectors grafted to the Weber manifold
- Tubular exhaust header, turbo muffler
- Aluminum flywheel by Apple Racing (steel insert engagement surface)
- 5-speed transmission, recent rebuild
Suspension
- G-Force Engineering coilover housings and camber plates
- Eibach springs
- Advance Design double-adjustable shock inserts (Ground Control)
- Designed/specified by Jim Susko (G-Force)
Wheels
- 1 set 13 x 9 Keizer 3-piece
- 1 set 13 x 8.5 Keizer 3-piece
- 1 set 13 x 8.5 Panasport 3-piece, minilite-style centers
- 1 set 13 x 7 Revolution cast wheels (used for BFG R1 rains)
Spares
- Complete Condrashoff-spec suspension with Koni shocks, springs, camber plates
- Rebuilt 5-speed transmission
- Good set of half-shafts
- Original intake manifold and throttle body
Trailer
- 16’ dual-axle Speedwagon open trailer
- Removable tire rack
- Tires are up but likely flat-spotted from sitting; I’ll replace them for the right deal
It still looks like the photo, just dusty in a small garage; I could get some current photos if interested. No reasonable offer refused --- I need the space.

Surely Robbie needs another one.
Oh man that's awesome. So much cool old tech
Oh gosh St Charles IL?
That's really close to me (Homewood flossmoor area).
I'm out of state on vacation for 2 weeks. Would you be willing to sell the spare koni suspension setup separate?
I'd love it! But "reasonable offer" is way outa my abilities. Shoot, un reason able prolly is...
In reply to 03Panther :
Trust me, I did a cost analysis of reasonable vs unreasonable and didn't come up with a good line between the two.

Ive been dreaming of an X1/9 and trailer for about 3 years now. But have yet to build a garage, really this is my fault. Ill buy it from you next year!
I did end up sending a pm, let me know if you didn't get it
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
Got it, many thanks! Well, at least I think so ---- can't tell from the screenname/e-mail.......
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
Doggone it, Robbie, I'm sorry --- the wretched spam filter sent your pm to quarantine and I didn't notice; you have an answer now!
Curious if this car is sold?
In reply to BoxheadTim :
I'm planning to go look Tuesday.
Let us know, he send me over some pictures, looks good from the photos. Well worth his asking price in my opinion from the pictures and description.

And?
Just got home picking it all up!
More, at ten.

I love the 4 spoke revolutions.

In reply to nocones :
They're small enough he should be able to stack them 3-high in his garage. Might have to flip one of over & nest them windshield-to-windshield though.

Is it time for an X intervention?

Is that where we buy one also in a show of solidarity with him?

I had one, moved it on before it replicated
It was a good deal, I would have purchased if it was not so far away. Plus I picked one up earlier so I have one to build already
