I'm just glad your not local and that I'm broke. Buddy's brother had a Omni Glh in the mid 90's and I've liked Omni's since.

looks like a solid price for a fun little domestic hatch.

That’s a cool little car.

Need another Neon? Slightly tempted to offer mine in trade.

Hmm, ok I’ll think on it and reach out if you still have it by the end of next week.

The Olds wagon is also trade fodder if you’d be more interested in that.

My only hesitation is distance. I don't think I can make it work in a reasonable timeframe. Like, probably not before spring.

I'd love to have that as a good mpg commuter, but Lower Alabam' is a long way away!

My rampage was fun back in the early 80s. Drove a  Shelby glhs omni during some warranty work. Sales man didn't want to let my 20year old self use the Shelby , but it was all he had available. I was thinking - the day I can't out drive your pot bellied, gold chain wearing old azz, you can just set me out to pasture!!! That was a fun car. Now I look like him... Except the gold chain and comb-over!

I have been commuting in it, and it's a fun little car.

I'm still, even after all this time, partial to rwd platforms. Hey, several chevettes have been good beaters for me. But that is a cool fwd. I even have a pair of 87 Dakotas in VA , but They are prolly not worth getting them all the way out there!

Bump for a car I don't need, don't have the $$ for and is too far away to snag.

If anyone wonders how quick it'd be against modern traffic, my dad's '86 automatic would smoke my buddy's '87 five speed 4 cyl Mustang from a standing start....(not that I tried it more than a few hundred times and nettled him about to constantly).

Doeds the weber 32/36 have an electric or manual choke? The electric choke on those is finnicky but once you get it working right it's amazing for first cold start.  That's what we have on our Montero, really reliable carburetor.

I want this for purely nostalgic reasons, seeing as one of my first cars was an '87 Charger 2.2 carb'd. At ten years old and maybe 60k miles it was surprisingly as worn as any 30 year old car. Even so, I beat that car as hard, if not harder, than any 16 year old has ever beaten on a car, and it was always good to me.

These are not good cars but they have something about them that will force you to love them.

GLWS. Someone is going to get some good memories, as well as some good frustrations. If I had the space, or less projects-in-progress, I would be driving the two hours to come get this. Because nostalgia wipes away all the horrible times that a 2.2l carbed K car tried to kill me.
