Listed on the local FB groups but I'm really not sure where or how to market this. I volunteer for a local charity (Onramptx.org) and we are selling this. Any tips, suggestions or offers would be appreciated.
Our charity OnRamp has a 1988 Suburban to sell that would make a great cruiser. A very kind older gentleman decided to donate this one-owner square body to us that he drove off the dealership lot brand new 35 years ago. All proceeds from this sale will go directly to buying more of the small, reliable cars (Corollas and Civics, usually) that we donate to local families in need. Every dollar will go towards buying a reliable car for another person in need in our community (we have donated 140 cars so far).
Details.
1988 Chevrolet R10 Suburban Silverado 5.7L
VIN 1GNER16K5JF192709
Mileage: 189k (odo has rolled over, but Carfax confirms)
Clean TX title in our charity's name
Located in College Station, TX
Vehicle starts well, runs well, shifts well, and dual-zone (front/back) AC works. We just serviced the AC and replaced the PS pump. Body is straight and paint is original. There’s a small amount of rust on the base of the rear doors. There is a small dent in the front of the hood courtesy of a buzzard the owner struck at 70mph driving through west Texas many years ago. White exterior with pinstripes and running boards, and blue cloth interior.
This truck starts right up each and every time and is fuel injected. Drives nice and smoothly as well. Ready for a road trip or whatever adventure you can imagine. No leaks of any kind.

Feel free to ask for additional information, pictures, or details. Feel free to share listing.
Cool old truck, great mission. I would contact Bring A Trailer to see if they were interested in handling it as a charity auction.
In reply to Danny Shields (Forum Supporter) :
Thank you. We tried Bring a Trailer and Cars and Bids and they didn't accept us. Maybe too many miles for their auctions is what we are thinking?

You mention that you have a post on FB in a group and you show a CL ad.
Do you have a regular FB listing that can be seen by the general public and not just members of the group? That's where the action is these days.
Maybe Hemmings auctions? They seem to have an appreciation for old cars/trucks with good stories to tell.
I'm not a buyer, not because it isn't a great truck, simply because these days I'm more likely to be on the receiving side of the equation.
I think it will be a minute before someone gives you $10k. It's going to take just the right person.
Not saying you won't get it, but $10k is up there, even for charity.
In reply to LionPride :
Agreed we know it needs the right buyer. My job is to find them ;)
and yes Danny Shields I'm looking up Hagerty auctions now
Thank you for the suggestions so far

I sold two cars via BaT the first a long time ago. It's definitely changed over the years.
I'm sad to see this vehicle was not accepted especially considering the funds go to charity. It should be listed for free.
I also happen to think this is a super cool vehicle worth owning. I wish I had more space for all the different vehicles I would like to own.
Thanks AnthonyGS....I want to keep every car that comes through the charity hands too. I like driving different cars and imagine myself owning them all.
We dropped the price of the Suburban seeing if we can get any interest that way. Someone will love it.
