I'm not the one to bring this car back right now. My heart's not in it and my time and wallet needs to be applied elsewhere.

My build thread on the car
I want to keep the engine I built for another car. So effectively you'll be getting the same deal I did. $400 for the roller with the trans, exhaust, and headers. Car is essentially unchanged from when I got it beyond that. Whatever other relevant parts I don't have other uses for will be thrown in too. I still have the bumper too by the way.
The hight points are:
HM290 5 speed manual trans which will be included with the car
mounts, headers, radiator and exhaust for a small block chevy.
94 Roadmaster tank with in-tank pump.
fuel system plumbed for a return style fuel system, car previously had a Vortec 350 with multiport fuel injection running on MS2.
9C1 quick ratio steering box
Hotchkis shocks
Rag joint delete steering shaft
2" drop spindles
800lbs front springs, 400lbs rear
Car has plenty of body rust but has a solid frame.
plenty of pictures on the first 2 pages of the build thread linked above.
Car is currently located in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Asking $400
I am nowhere near where I need to be to take this on, but I'd love a manual wagon.
Anyone want to buy it and hold onto it for two years and then sell it to me?
Man, I really, really, really need this car.
One thing to note. I still need to take my 4.8 back out of it and am working out of town, going home to where the car is roughly once a month. I may try to get it pulled while I'm home this weekend but I have a lot of other things going this weekend too.
I typed a bunch of stuff then decided I'm two whiskeys in so better wait until the morning.
Must resist the urge to buy it...brain says I've already flown to Kentucky for a car .....right?
I wonder if I threw an LT1 or Vortec off of CL in the back of the Radio Flyer and hauled ass down there if we could have that bitch up and running in a few days? How hard would it be with a "running" LT1 with a wiring harness and ECM?
Pretty sure I have 80% of what's needed to Make a Gen1 small block bolt in including front accessories, cooling system bits, and exhaust. And planned on letting it go with the car. You'll need a flywheel and clutch kit because I let the flywheel I had leave with the L99 I sold and the pressure plate has been drilled out to accept the bigger metric bolts in the LQ9 flywheel that's on the 4.8 right now. I believe you'll be able to rig up a Vortec or LT ECM in a standalone manner pretty easily if you can handle cutting the harness down. Most of the wiring is already in place for separate gauge sending units on either engine.
Having said all that, if anyone is implying they're interested in thrashing on it in my parents' driveway and then driving it home. All parties involved would probably rather see it leave on a trailer.
Now that I'm more sober I'll offer a free SBC to whoever buys this. But the SBC with Vortec heads rabbit hole was fun last night.
In reply to Stampie (FS) :
my $2003 V8Vair was a low-compression 327 with a small cam and too much carburetor. it was slow and sucktacular. i put on vortec heads, a chicom air gap intake, a 600 vac sec Holley, and the lightest distributor springs i could find. even with the small cam, and leaving the starting line like a grandma (2.001 60ft), it went 13.79 at 104 at the $2004 race. so yeah, Vortec heads on Gen 1 SBC is definitely a thing.
Car is sold to a friend I drug onto the forum and told him he had to keep the build thread updated.
In reply to Daylan C (Forum Supporter) :
This mean he's not willing to drive 12 hours for a free SBC?
