The guy is in some Montero groups and i expect he'd take quite a bit less for it, frankly. A few reasons why I post it up as worthwhile:
1. These are going up in value quick, and are one of the few cool 80s SUVs still left out there that are very capable and still cheap.
2. This is the offroad package, which has a factory rear LSD, "trucker seat" bases, and headlight sprayers.
3.. Most of the issues he posts are easily solved: The starting issue is usually a loose or missing engine to chassis ground and/or a wonky ignition switch on these. The brake warning light is usually the float in the M/C sticking (happens on mine all the time). CEL is probably for the TPS, which trip the light when even slightly out of spec, which has no effect on drivability. Cat: i have a spare OEM cat that will fit if someone buys this. Rust on the front fenders: I have two rust-free front fenders if someone buys this. Rear wiper issue is probably the switch. They get gunky and lose contact inside. Easy fix. The frame rust actually doesn't look bad. These have super-thick boxed frames and mine looked worse than that when I got it, but cleaned up great.
