My automotive ADD has flared up again.

Bought this as a non running project, was going to use the 1uz in my corolla.

It now runs and drives.

Pros:

1UZ V8

Very little rust no rot, this car was from Alabama, still had Alabama title when I bought it.

Radio works

digital dash works

new plugs, wires, distributor caps and distributor rotors

decent passenger seat

decent rear seat

decent passengers door panel

Cons

paint has spots where it has flaked?

needs new tires

drivers seat and door panel not very nice

not sure if heat or ac works. Vent blows air though

needs an alternator

all lights work, but fronts have condensation

i think it has a replacement windshield that makes it hard to see the VIN tag, it is in there just hard to read. . I didn’t have any trouble at the BMV (they had to inspect VIN due to out of state title)

I am looking for a trade for a

manual Miata, ok if it has cosmetic issues as long as still structurally sound. Can add a little cash on my end for the right one.

Or with some cash on the buyers end would trade for a two seat go kart.

Located near Findlay Ohio.

I don't have a Miata or go kart, but I do have a 1993 740iL I can offer in trade plus some cash on my end. Engine is locked up though.

Link to info.

I have a miata that could be made into a go kart...

Check your power steering pump for leaks. It's very likely that it pooped the bed, and in doing so killed the alternator when it started leaking.  Good news is that it cost me less than a 100$ when my old one did that to me to have a local shop rebuild the alternator. New one was right at 300$ back then.

It's a shame you're so far away, as I've a 95 Miata I could be convinced to let go of for another comfy highway cruiser

I think this is exactly what happened. Leak in power steering system is now fixed. (I think).

It was t-boned years ago and has been sitting. I cut the windshield frame off but haven't done anything else too it. I haven't even tried to start it but it allegedly cranks. Probably too far gone to be considered a decent trade.

Yeah. That is pretty rough. What are your plans with it?

I bought it planning to cage it and cut off the rest off the body for a miata kart, at the moment i have other projects that are taking priority.

Yeah the fluid gets in there and kills the voltage regulator.

Where are you located at? I am guessing by the surfer man on the license plate, it is not close to rural Ohio.

Yes. All stock SC400 were automatics. I don’t remember the guys name. I would have to check.

SC400 is now gone. Traded for a rather rough 1993 Miata. Was in worse shape than I wanted but once I drove it I wanted it.
