Do you really need reverse for the Challenge ? Bring it!
Transmission parts are available.... but I do not need.... because that would be a hoot to have and drive.
In reply to Indy - Guy :
No, I don't. However, I have another project coming and this thing needs to go. If I keep it, I am going to keep the drivetrain and scrap the body.

I can crawl under there but everything I have read and recall from being under the car years ago is GM transmission. The non R model is the 4hp
Hydramatic isn't a ZF term
It looks just like this transmission.

Remove you inaccurate info so someone else doesn't read it and distribute. Also, you might want to tell Wittrans that their info is wrong.

It's not inaccurate information. It's jaguar in their model naming. If you put it in as an xjs with a 4.0 you get a 4l80.

Uhhhhhhhh, an XJS is a totally different car, and that may be the wrong trans with the 4.0, as I believe only the v12s for the 4l80.
I also don't think you could get the XJS 4.0 supercharged... less sure about that.
I actually did some track time at Summit Point back when these were new. Pretty quick. Felt much smaller at speed tan you'd imagine.

I would like to make a high spinning engine. What I have is a neglected B-head Teksid engine. I am open to all sorts of stuff. Headers, better intakes though I kind of want to run ITBs, aftermarket ECUs already wired up (pie in the sky). Let me know what you have. I also have a t45 behind it but have read that those my not like the high revs and that a tr3650 might be a better choice. That engine build would be 50% silly showiness that happens to allow the other half to be performance.

They don't feel light. But they certainly don't feel like like 2 tons. And the power delivery was so smooth and just kept coming. Great engine. So wish they had made a manual
In reply to singleslammer :
I'm 95% sure I can lay hands on some Aviator heads. One of the better choices for what you outlined, IIRC.
Let me know.
In reply to LionPride :
Yeah, I have looked at getting C heads but am not sure that I will need them enough to not use what I have. Cams would be a better use of money to me. Thanks though.

No problem, just the first thing that popped into my head. Seriously interested if we can work a mutually acceptable deal.
I haven't messed with the 4v mod stuff enough to know whether DB or DC heads are worthwhile performance upgrades. After battle with 5.4 spark plugs, I consider the additional spark plug threads a boon.
