Hi Everyone,
this has been my project car since 2015 and been on the road as a V8 Miata since 2017. With kids now I don't have the time to autox for the next few years and I'm kind of tired of it just sitting not getting used. face book link below
the car has a 5.0 and t5 out of a sn95 mustang. Engine was refreshed with new bearings, rings, and aluminum heads added. It also has a Chinese intake (typhoon) if I remember correctly. The transmission could use a rebuild but it does work fine and I drive it once a month or so around the neighborhood to keep everything moving.
rear end is a ford 8.8 IRS with monster Miata half shafts and broached hubs.
suspension is koni yellows with monster Miata springs. 450lb/in front and stock rears. Car could really benefit from coil overs
brakes are stock Miata with good fluid and GLOK pads (I believe the R8)
this was my "modern cobra" so it does have a full interior but does NOT have ac/power steering. The rack was properly de powered before the car was put on the road
the top needs to be replaced but I basically just use it for shade at this point.
car has done many auto crosses and several track days including COTA and Harris's hill
car is located near San Antonio Texas
would love to get 10k out of it but please make an offer

M-edition, too. I've got the stock, tired version of that car. 10K seems fair. Good Luck With Sale!

Thanks! It's been a really fun car
What parts would I have to change to put an uncut hood on it? Do all the SBF Miatas have hacked up hoods?

They don't all but most do. Cutting the oil pan can get about a 1/4" but I didn't want the hastle of possible warping and leaks. Most also put spacers on the front subframe, effectively a body lift which I also didn't want to do. One thing that was tricky was getting the radiator cap higher than the radiator itself since that upper hose is higher than the radiator. There are other coolant necks that can be used on the engine to lower that part but I wanted to make sure it would be easy to bleed the air. I had planned on making a cowl hood for it but never got around to it.

Thanks for the additional info. The only V8 Miata I've really studied up close was one of Flyin' Miata's LS cars that Keith Tanner brought to Road Atlanta for The Mitty, maybe 2009?
Yea the 5.0 intake manifold is extremely tall relative to LS engine

Yeah, That was the NC that I eventually owned. The LS is much shorter in that realm. That's why IMHO, the L33 swap is the sweet spot for V8 goodness in a miata.
For the 302 swap you almost need an Edelbrock and a TPI setup to clear the miata hood. Either that or a Cowl hood. I think the Simpson one works with the TFS manifold but would want to do more research.
Great car though. If I was close to Texas and I didn't have 2 miata in my garage then I would be all over this.

Yes sir. I couldn't afford the ls swap back then because of the t56.
Below link of autocross video. Several more on my page.
also forgot to mention that it has an MS2 ecu

Price drop to $8k. Really want to see this go to someone that will appreciate and enjoy it

I'm currently trying to rationalize getting from Maine to TX and back to work with it in a reasonable amount of time. That car is exactly what I'm looking for. Autocross and street fun.
Could you please attach more pics here, for those of us who aren't on FB?
In reply to Mikeinthewoods :
It def needs coilovers and new tires for autocross! But it's a great starting point
In reply to dettonator20 :
I'll try to figure out how
Also feel free to shoot me a text and I can send any pictures or videos
