2001 MR2 - North Florida

Priorities are moving in a different direction. I picked this up back in January. Paid $2500 for it - asking $2500 for it. Runs great, top doesn't seem to leak. ~175K miles. Aftermarket wheels. Located in Gainesville.

Gah!  This is super tempting.  Got an AW11 to take care of.  No room.  Got a Lemons race coming up (COVID willing). etc. etc. excuses. excuses.

That is a great deal! I bet these are a blast in rallycross, but we don't see many up here only early gen MR2s.

These cars are so, so much fun. $2500 is a great price.

I would buy this from you, but I am in Virginia, outside of Washington DC.  I don’t have a cost effective or easy way to get it.  Not really leaving the house right now:)

That said, I still have this and still want to sell it.

Just make sure that you sell it out of state. I don't want any more of these to compete against in ES.

This would make a fantastic magazine project car!

Future Tom here.... I completely agree that it would make a great project, but it looks like past Tom already said no unfortunately. Darn!

In this thread is the Jacksonville, FL based shipper I used last year.  He was very, very reasonable. Try calling him directly and see what it would cost to get to VA. 

Roughly 750 miles.  I'll bet that $500 brings it right to your front door. 

Thanks John. I talked to him last year about a possible transport. Super nice guy. I ended up doing a fly and drive, but enjoyed chatting with him.

I assume it would but I've only driven it around the block at this point. Clutch is good, no weird noises, AC works

I'm assuming these are not fat guy friendly? Also seems like they might not be fun to wrench on.

So I drove it home last night. What a fun car, a little less fun in torrential downpours but its Florida so you kinda have to get used to it.

I wouldn't want to be any fatter than i am to drive in it. 5'10" 235lbs is a tight fit.
