Rear view isn't even blocked.  We even managed to sneak a couple personal scores for me in the car since swmbo thinks they're all going to you guys.

The lack of snow in your picture implies that you are not yet home and given the time, likely just stopping for the evening.

Speaking of snow, I have two sets of fully mounted, real winter tires if you are interested in one set.  They are a few years old and about mid-tread but I'd offer them for a near free price.

You're correct, we were still down in NC, ended up getting a room and driving up Sunday, too much fun hanging out on Saturday.

I'm absolutely interested in the snow tires.  I have an older set of 15 inch snows from a Fleetwood, but they'd require a lift to fit devil

We ended up getting a room in Mount airy NC at the Andy Griffith hotel/motel.  Not sure how it got such good ratings but it sucked.  Slept 1 hour before 5am, which is when I would have gotten home if I just drove home Saturday night.   Should have stayed at the quality inn for the same $$.  Or just drove home.  So much for supporting the local guy.

Trip home Sunday went smooth, car handled the WV turnpike better than expected.  Hit some freezing rain about 1.5 hrs from home but we made it thru.  Got home around 6pm, lit a fire, ate dinner, and passed out on the couch.

Currently 1.5 hrs into bmv hell.  Title is now in my name, back to try to get plates.

What is/was the hold up with the title and plates?

Just typical waiting an hour for someone to do 3 minutes worth of work.  Ohio requires a VIN check to be done on out of state vehicles which consists of them going out to the car and writing down the VIN, make, and model.  I waited over an hour for that to be done at the DMV.  I then went to the title office and had my title in 5 minutes.  I then had to go back to the DMV to get registration and plates, which involved waiting in line again.  Took me just under 2 hours total.

I later found out the title office can supposedly do the vin check, and there's never more an 1 or 2 customers in there, so I'll try that next time to save some time.

Swmbo drove the car to work today after an ice storm last night.  You literally could have ice skated down our road.  I had to get a running start (on foot) to get up the slight slope in front of the garage.  Luckily the rest of the roads were 'ok' enough that she made it in with no drama.

I'll let you in on a little Ohio Secret...  You do not have to go to the BMV in your own county.  As an example, you can get a Lorain County Title from the Huron County Title Agency (Norwalk, OH) and you can get Lorain County license plates in Huron County.

In Norwalk, OH the Title Agency and the License plate purchase is two separate operations but BOTH in the same building and the whole place has room for about 10 waiting room chairs...because that is all they need!  Sure, a little more drive for you to this small town but in & out service.  Its just another 20 minutes away for me but the all-in-one is good for me!
