This has been my DD since 2012 when I purchased it from the original owner. I bought it with 130,000 miles and it now has 271,000 but has never had a mechanical issue or left me stranded. It’s been the most reliable vehicle that I’ve ever owned.  It’s a high mileage truck but anything it ever needed has been done.

Below is the description from my CL ad.

2005 Toyota Tundra “Limited” double-cab 4x4

- 2 local owners
- Garage kept and not driven the last 4 winters(I work in Florida from January to May)
- 271,000 miles

- Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power drivers seat, power retracting rear window
- Moon roof with sun shade
- Cruise control
- AM/FM/CD with steering wheel controls(JBL system)
- Heated seats
- Overhead console with temp and compass
- Aluminum diamond plate low-profile toolbox
- Factory bed liner
- Rigid D2 pencil beam driving lights
- Front and rear hitch receivers.

- FJ 17” wheels(no tire pressure monitor sensors installed)
- still has the original TRD stainless muffler and dual tailpipes on the truck!!!!!!
- original window sticker and books in glove box

*** Everything works ***

Over the past few years, I’ve replaced the following as necessary:
- Transmission replaced by Aamco in Wyoming($3200) with the best unit they had available
- Monroe “Quick strut” front strut assemblies(7/2019)
- Monroe OESpectrum rear shock absorbers(7/2019)
- Dorman front lower control arms(7/2019)
- Cardone A-1 power steering rack
- Toyota OEM power steering pump
- Wagner front disc brake pads(7/2019)
- CSP radiator(7/2019)
- battery(5/2018)
- headlights and marker lights(5/2019)
- front differential, rear differential and transfer case fluids @ 238k miles

I’ve used this truck as my daily driver since I purchased it. Over the last 5 years, I’ve commuted back and forth to Florida approximately 20 times and accumulated many miles doing so. This truck has never once broken down or left me stranded on the road. It’s been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s kept in our heated garage, gets washed/waxed/detailed regularly and has never been used “off-road”. I’ve done my best to keep it in as good condition as possible, but remember, it is 15 years old and does have 271,000 miles on it. I have many more pictures that I took today. If there is anything else that you would like to see, just reply and I will get them to you ASAP.

*** The truck will need the timing belt done soon as it was last done at 190k.

I purchased a 2013 Ram 1500 quad-cab with 80k miles and although I like the size and feel of the Toyota better than the Ram, I decided to sell the older and higher mileage truck. I only hope that the Ram will be as dependable as the Toyota, but I’m fairly sure it won’t be. This is my third migh mileage Toyota(200k+ miles) and they are more expensive for a reason. Nothing is built or runs like a Toyota.

*** I have a lift at my shop in Exeter where the truck can be put up in the air for a complete undercarriage inspection. I’ve posted pictures of the rockers to show that there is NO RUST on the truck.

Thanks for looking.

$8,500.  I’ve priced the truck well under both NADA and KBB values knowing the maintenance items that need to be done. You will be hard pressed to find another 2005 Tundra in this condition.

I love, love, love these first gen Tundra double cabs!! Is this in Exeter, NH? If so I'd love to come look at it. As I was reading the ad I was anticipating it being silver and letting me down, but then I see it's white(my favorite color on trucks), and I was excited.  My 06 Sienna has been the most reliable car we've ever owned. Toyota's are really made better in my opinion. Totally worth the extra you pay up front.

I’m in northeast PA, outside Wilkes-Barre and about 20 minutes from Route 81 off exit 170B.

A northeast Toyota truck with a clean, original frame!

The timing belt and WP is around $250 in parts and takes a Saturday to do.  Great looking truck and should sell quick.

It sure is clean.  I wish it was a cab and a 1/2.

I had two offers of $7500 and that just won’t get it done. Im going to counter with $8000 and a bill of sale for “a whole bunch less” to save any buyer on sales tax but I want to make that offer here first.

Anyone here interested in a really nice truck for $8000 and a BOS for $1000?

Great truck, great price.  I paid 2x for almost the same truck a couple years ago.  GLWTS.

I really want this truck!!  No funds though, and I highly doubt my credit union would loan me the money for a 14 (going on 15) year old truck at this mileage.  The BOS wouldn't help me at all here in Taxachusetts, as they go by book value anyway for tax purposes.

In reply to Mazdax605 :

Call PenFed. They have no limit on age or miles and will lend up to 110% of full book value.

I have written a lot about my PenFed experience.  How ironic that I still owe less than $200 and my PenFed loan will be paid off soon.  Yes, I would do it again.

The snow is flying here in the northeast! Anyone need a winter 4x4 vehicle? Heated seats work great!

*** BUMP ***

I’ve had no cash offers on the truck and have kept it here in the garage at home just in case we got a good snowfall. I figured she could take it to work as her new Audi S3 is too low to drive in more than 4-5” of snow.

Since we we haven’t had any real snowfall to this point so far this winter, I’m going to bump this back up and see if anyone is looking for a GREAT pickup. It was 64* yesterday and 58* today, so I’m going to guess that since we made it almost 1/2 way through winter, I’ll roll the dice and sell the truck.

Anyone looking for a pickup? Read the description, take a good look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions you might have. Nothing to hide with this truck, I would drive it across the country at any time.
