SOLD on Craigslist - three hours from listing to cash in hand.
Faceballs Marketplace sucked - 75 people contacted me and most all were annoying low ball offers. If you offer me $2500 on a message how do you know it's not a total POS $2500 car?
2009 Honda Civic LX - I am the second owner. Automatic transmission - see sticker below (you get original sticker)
- 220,000 miles
- original owner drove to Walgreens corporate - lots of highway from his house.
- he had the original cloth interior pulled and had leather installed - it's really high quality - the original cloth is in a box that I can pass along.
- guy took care of the car well - I bought it cause it was 100% dry underneath. Still dry but I think a power steering hose may be dripping
- he kept up on problems but wouldn't give me any maintenance paperwork as he was a kind of a nervous guy.
- Walgreens gave him a new red Tesla as a bonus
- all runs well - it has a newer Interstate battery and brand new black Weathertech front mats.
- extra front rotors and pads in boxes - I bought and missed previous owner recently replaced them
- clear Illinois title
Things it needs:
- it has a scratch from some knucklehead - on passenger door along with dings on the door. One dog leg has some rust. See picture.
- rear bumper has done paint cracks that have been touched up
- air conditioning works but seems louder than my Silverado
- check engine light comes on for CAT converter efficiency. Sometimes it stays off for 3-6 months. Changed both O2 sensors. Probably needs a Cat (Rock Auto - $500)
- tire sensors just triggered - 14 years old so they should be changed - tires are 7 year old Michelins so it's time. Wally World can toss new tires and sensors for $500 if I put on skid mark branded tires.
- exhaust old and rattles a little but works fine
- crappy plastic hubcaps over steel wheels
Here's the deal - I normally spruce up my cars and make them all detailed and fancy. I have matching paint and touch up and can make her look cleaner. I can get the new tires and sensors and take care of that for you but the price will jump up to $4300.00.
This is a deal to save you money. The car runs great and the tires run fine - you do the work when you can and you save money.
$3700 firm - AS-IS with you fixing it up as needed. No extra work will be done at this price.
It is located in Lockport, IL. (Near Joliet, IL area) - bring a stack of cash. No trades unless you have a Datsun 240Z or 510 in your way that needs to go.
