If that was a GM or Ford van I bet it would be gone by now. I think it is pretty cool looking. When this van was made I think the excessive bondo thing was pretty common place. By today's standards you would have to knock all that mess off and redo it correctly. Having sheet metal covers or cab corners pop riveted in was also pretty common in the 80's. Overall that van isn't terrible, unfortunately it needs a little (or in some cases a lot) of work on almost everything.

Seller forgot to add: "For the purchase price of $5000, you'll also get to dispose of a van full of junk for me." 

I remember seeing tandem axle conversions back in the 80s' magazines.  Not sure I'd want one today.

If he paid me $500, I'd haul all the junk off, since the scrap value of the van would be a couple hundred. 
The tandem rear van/trucks/cars were a dumb thing then, and have not improved.
