There's no way in hell I'd be associated with this thing, not to mention he's at least 10k hot on the price- a buddy of mine is going to call him tomorrow to try and figure out why this kid thinks he can get 17k out of this time bomb.

Lots of dueling going on with that car. I wonder if it'll ever resolve it's differences. Truly sad.

Shame because these cars are so hard to find in decent condition. I loved the fact that in 1990 you could buy a twin-turbo with 4 wheel steering, active aero, AWD, active mufflers, etc etc etc. I guess that is all stuff to go wrong, but still. It was cool back in the day.

I'd have a hard time paying $1700.

Collector car tag. Is that like a historic car tag where it doesn't have to pass inspection? Kind of another reason to pass....

4000lb of pure sport's car!!

I would rather that they put that driveline in the Dimante which I believe the 3000GT was based.

In reply to 850Combat:

I'm pretty sure these are based on the same chassis as the Eclipse of that era. The wheelbase is identical where as the Diamante is much longer.

I would have rather they had built an updated Starion. Like if Mazda had built an RX-7 FD-type car with a 4G63 and RWD. And some quality, that might have been useful.

Completely different platforms. They share badges and being awd. The diamante relationship comes with the 6g72, which the diamante got the sohc n/a version of. I know of at least one running dohc head swapped diamante, I do not know if it was ever tirbo'd. Interestingly enough, Chrysler took that motor and stuffed it in some vans of the era, so the theory of a TT quad cam caravan exists, though I haven't the slightest if the heads will actually fit Under the hood.
