Those things are huge. An old friend had one parked at his shop for years. This one is in much better condition though.

Those are some of the best looking engines ever made, IMO - so sweet.

I remember having the Matchbox version as a kid and, even at seven, I thought that the proportions were all wrong on that one. I sure would love to stare at that engine on a stand in my garage for a few months and then build a Special around it...,

Because they are wicked expensive to restore, don't really have much of a following amongst collectors, and aren't generally worth much after you're done.

The triple SU carb setup is probably worth a third the asking price to a later E-Type owner trying to get rid of his Stranglebergs.

I wonder which price is the right one... I have a feeling he might be looking to get a barn find price for it rather than what is says in the ad title.
