NMNA - - 1964 Dodge - already got 3 pedals, slant 6 with header.
No title. Probably no floors. Header and Offy 4 barrel intake are cool, don't hate the wheels.
I hope someone saves it.
Looks too me like a push button automatic to me by the dash picture. Can't see the floor well enough to see a 3rd pedal or shifter.
Yes, that's a push-button automatic shift setup on the left, my '64 Plymouth had that same setup. '64 is the last year the push-button was available, '65 transmissions are the last normally compatible versions due to the shift linkages being cables and not rods. Trans upgrades for this car won't be simple if you want to retain the buttons.
Also complicating the matter is that up to '64, MoPar used a ball and trunnion joint at the back end of the transmission instead of a U-joint with a slip yoke. In 1965, they went to the U-joint, but still used the cable shift, even though they stopped using the push button shifter at the end of '64.
All of which makes a 1965 big block trans a fairly hot commodity for anyone with a '64 or earlier car with a PB shift who wants to swap in a B, RB or Elephant engine into their car. There are shift conversions being done, but they are at least as expensive as a core transmission.
For my '64 Polara, I was going to try to see if there was some way to do the conversion myself.
