This van belongs to my ex-wife. I will post photos very soon, but I wanted to get this out there now to try to help her. She just bought a new SUV, which is being delivered April 9th, so she needs to sell her current daily. The van was purchased by me in April of 2015 and it only had 17k miles on it at the time. We found papers in it saying the original owners' name was Seymor (yes really). Hence why we suspect it had such low mileage, it had actually been sitting for a year or so. My guess is Seymor could no longer drive, so it sat until the family sold it. We bought it from a Kia dealer in Florida. The van was in my possession until I got divorced from her a few years ago, but I still see it a lot. In fact, I drove it as recently as 6 weeks ago. It currently has just about 180k miles on it. So yeah, we drove the snot out of it. Of the 160k miles we put on it, I personally put at least 70k of those on, if not 100k. Countless trips too/from Disney, kids lacrosse games, family outings, etc...of which I was always the driver. It has been as reliable as an anvil. It has need minimal work beyond fluid flushes and brakes/tires. Things done to it that I can recall...air intake hose split open several years ago, which I replaced. ABS pump sprung a leak after a brake fluid flush was done by a shop. They claimed ignorance...sigh. I had it replaced at the dealer with an LKQ part (ironically the VIN of the van it came from was less than 10 away from ours). Plug change. That's about it. Suspension is original, so the shocks are rather tired. The van is grey in color with a grey interior, it's LX trim. Has a trailer hitch on it, not used often....though I did use it to tow a Mustang that I bought from GRM member AnthonyGS from LA back to GA. Has a dent in the front bumper from when she backed into a parked car (she was backing out of parking space and cut the wheel too early). No rust. Everything works...a/c, heat, windows, locks, etc... No dash warning lights. It's just a solid workhorse I'd trust to drive anywhere.
Want to price it low for a GRM member. Did a quick search on Autotrader and CarGurus and found even high mileage ones selling for $4500+. I'm thinking $3500 is fair? Like I said, I'll get pictures up, but wanted to get this out there in hopes of getting her a buyer for when her new car arrives (otherwise I get to hold onto it in my driveway until it sells).
Car-kid, Kevin. He(we) have been looking for a minivan for his growing family in Cleveland. This might be good but more miles than he had intended. I sent him a email to tip him off.
2010 is this body style.
So here is the van in all of its' glory (??), ready to move on to the next owner. Like I said, it's really clean inside and out...save for the pucker in the front bumper cover. Runs and drives great. I looked a little more at similar ones for sale on CarGurus and if I price it at $3500, that will make it the cheapest 2009-2011 Sedona in the country that I saw there. Trying to think of anything else I can say about it, positive or negative. Tires are pretty new, maybe 5000 miles on them. It does make a "click" sound from what I presume is the neutral safety switch if you hit the brakes going less than 5mph. It's coming from the center console, near the shifter, so I presume it's the safety switch. It's been doing that for at least 5 years and we owned another Sedona of the same generation before this one...and guess what, it did the same thing. Shift lever works properly, just clicks if you're on/off the brakes at <5mph. No accidents, outside of the front bumper. It also has not set any lap records at Nurburgring, like so many modern vehicles have, so I have to apologize for that. If you need a family workhorse, this thing is fabulous. If it had a higher towing capacity, I'd take it myself.
Doing a Canada trip in May. Was looking at driving my 2000 f350. I bounced a van idea off on my wife and she didn't say no. I asked her to read this, and discuss tonight. So no dibs yet, but up for wife consideration. Funny fact, no vans in the Clownkillers hoard.
I tried to convince my wife we need it...but something about her driving my ex-wifes van didn't appeal to her. I can't imagine why....
Rumor has it , second wives don't like anything that touched wife 1. Coworker replace half his house this way...
Wife said to take a look. Any chance for tonight?
Not nearby at all, but I would buy this in a heartbeat. Must check with wife first tho.
This is exactly what I was looking for a few months ago.
Someone's going to get a good deal on a solid van.
Wife decided a van was not in my future. Thanks to SKJSS for the consideration on the van. GLWS
I hope someone buys this soon. CL is so full of morons. Very long story short, had a knucklehead come all the way down from NC...4+ hour drive yesterday. Before he drove down, I was very clear to him that he was first to get to it, but there were several others behind him showing interest. I was also clear that because of this, my price is firm...$3500 is already a bargain for this van. Sure, no problem, he says. Gets here and takes it for a test drive...much longer than I would have liked. Comes back and says "Well, the neutral safety switch is clicking and there are a couple of scratches on the body. That neutral safety switch is going to be a fortune. I'll give you $3000 for it". I politely smiled and thanked him for his time but no. He said "Man, I came all the way down here because I wanted to buy it, I don't want to have to drive all the way back empty handed." Well, then stop at a gas station and pick up lunch...your hands won't be empty my friend. Sigh.....

Our 2010 Sedona had the same click from the console.
It's normal and as far as I know just the safety interlock that prevents shifting from park without pressing the brake pedal. I assume it's a solenoid moving a pin or latch to release the shifter, and you only hear it at low speeds because that is when the interlock circuit is active.
Ours had that click from when it was brand new until we traded it in last May.
In reply to No Time :
Yep, ours has been doing it for years. Prior to this one, we had an '07...did the exact same thing. Even if you want to replace the neutral safety switch, it's a $30 part and a 30 minute job (according to YouTube).
In reply to SKJSS (formerly Klayfish) :
I feel your pain with the Craigslist crazies. I recently experienced that when selling a car. I ended up selling it to a GRMer for $1200 below the listed price, just to get the deal done.

I love CL crazies just for the entertainment value.
Is the van still available? How involved in the sale will you be SKJSS? Considering a fly-n-drive...
Yup, it sold within a day of listing it on CL. Holy hell it was nuts!! Maybe I should have listed it for more, it was like a feeding frenzy.
Thanks for the update and congrats on the sale.
