The last 4 fun cars I've bought have come from this same, weird triangle of Central/Western Connecticut. 2 from Dan0 himself, a panamera in Middletown, an E46 wagon in Danbury...
There must truly be something in the water down there, that cool, well maintained enthusiast cars are the norm and not the exception.

I think it's the NYC / Fairfield county $$$ to Lime Rock Park zone. People with money buy the stuff new and then when they buy new again they sell to the middle / working class people in the area.
The Audi Avant you bought from me originally came from a couple that lived mid state and mainly used it as a CT to Stowe VT car. Dealer maintained, dealer engine replacement, etc.
Seeing the tubes shrinkwrapped that close to the engine gives me the heebie jeebies. Engines can move around a lot, even with "solid" mounts (which suck), and at some point someone's going to have to work on something too.
