Man, I really really really want this...but my deck is in desperate need of replacement and that should take priority. I will talk to my wife tonight and see what she thinks about putting the deck off until later in the summer.
Ask her if a deck can keep you warm and dry in inclement weather while at the same time whisking you gracefully between places you need to be?
Plus, you can carry deck materials home much more easily if you own a wagon.

I like the way you think. I will be sure to mention the obvious benefits of a car over a deck in addition to the status we will gain by having a BMW sitting in our driveway. The problem is, this will be vehicle #6. I could easily get rid of the 99 Silverado but it seems that even it would be more useful than the wagon in hauling deck supplies, although it is completely worthless in every other way (regular cab= family doesn't fit).
In reply to karplus2 :
Bloomington, IL isn't too far away (although I'm on the far side of Indy from you) so swing on by for a look and take it for a spin.
While you're here, I can show you all of my other junk ( including the Pie in the Sky treehouse build, Humpie, bubble butt wagon and the TR4 )
In reply to Indy-Guy :
It isn't a bad drive at all.
Unfortunately, SWMBO reminded me of some other expenses that are coming up in the near future that make buying this a bit too much of a stretch right now. GLWS. I hope someone picks it up that will continue to fix it up like you have been.
In reply to karplus2 :
Understood.
If anyone else has any interest at all, go ahead and shoot me an offer (I promise to not be offended). It would really help to smooth things out with SWMBO if I have this gone (or at least a plan in place to send it on to a new owner) before the arrival of the nex car on May 11th.
I'd like to see the car go to someone who'll give it some love. Plus I really don't want to deal with the List of Craigs.
It's slowly gaining some of my trust back as I drive it daily to and from work. Here it is today.
I am interested. I have been trying to ignore this thing, but I cannot anymore. You bought my Miata a couple years ago. When should we meet?
In reply to garaithon :
Let me check and see if I still have your number....
yes, text message heading your way.
Does this mean I can't CL low ball you?
In reply to Stampie :
Oh, you still can. However at the moment Gariathon has first dibs, and has arranged to swing by tomorrow night for a look see.
In reply to Indy-Guy :
I could trade you a Lotus body, a bunch of BMW 2002 differentials, a Cadillac 425 with trans (even custom made lightweight with the hole in the bell housing), a Chevy 350, a Cadillac 500 in pieces minus the block, and a box of Chevy HEIs. That's even better than a CL low ball.

Throw in your Model A and we can talk
In reply to Indy-Guy :
I figured you were more of an A man than a T man.
In reply to Stampie :
Wrong. I've Always been a T man. However, I know you wouldn't share the T, as you've fallen in love with it.
How about a 9mm with the serial numbers filed off and a non running chinese quad?
you need to step your CL game up, Stampie
In reply to Indy-Guy :
I’m pretty sure I won’t share my A with you either.

Just checking, but this car is off the market, correct?
Best,

I responded to your email today with my phone number. Let's talk.
Sale pending....
Hopefully it will leave my driveway just before the Jag arrives.

This is the most hopelessly optimistic thing I've ever read.

I am an optimist. However I slashed the price to "come buy it now" levels, and a guy is coming to (hopefully) pick it up Friday night. He even asked if I can drive it home for him just in case his friend can't come with him.
Then my flight departs at 6am the next day (Saturday) to pick up the Jag. It'll work out if all goes perfectly.
Hate to see her go, but love to watch her leave.
I'd be bummed about this if it wasn't for the jaaaaggggg. Glad it went to a wagon guy
