So I bought this because my other truck needed work and I sold it. This thing isn't great either but it runs, drives, and stops (<-- my other truck didn't have brakes)
It's rusty, body panels, frame, etc. Has a hitch but previous owner even recommended I don't tow anything. Tires have good tread but I did notice one developed a bubble in the sidewall. Headlights works, signals are a little wonky.
99 Silverado 1500 4x4 (<- works too)
High miles, cluster not showing miles but title shows 335k. I know the previous owners well and they do auto repair and body work and have many other vehicles so this was just a cheap Home Depot / junk run truck for them. And that all I've used it for so far as well.
I wanted to pull the LS to refresh it and do my first swap but I picked up another vehicle and this one should really get out of the driveway quick. If I find parking somewhere I may still strip it but figured I'd give a shot.
I paid $1200, I'd do $1000 for GRM. Less than that it's worth more for me to keep the LS and try a quick part out and scrap.
And off it goes to Facebook Marketplace, Lord help me...
Replacement came early, but maybe I'll still part out the truck and keep the LS for a project.
Replacement...
Well it's off Marketplace. That was a record, less than a day and had someone insult me personally over my ad wording. Did people forget the saying if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
I played musical cars in the driveway yesterday and got the truck in a good spot to pull the motor. Part out time, going to start with interior stuff, going up on eBay. So it will still be drive able for a couple weeks.
