I need to ship a car from Reno NV. to Mpls. MN. soon.
Can anyone recommend a reliable, trustworthy and reasonably pricing transport company or individual?
It is a nightmare trying to navigate through the myriad options available on-line.

Unless you go with the one of the big names such as Reliable, it's a complete crap shoot. All those online quote sites are basically just brokers trying to buy a spot on someone else's truck. Snowbird season is probably a good time to ship, however. I tried to ship a car from Dallas to Orlando last November, and the only company that could guarantee a spot before the end of the year was Reliable, for $1400. Bought a $41 plane ticket and drove it instead.
I just used uship.com to price out a honda move from atlanta to seattle. Prices started out at $5500(!) and dropped as the 1 week auction went along. I was considering flying out, buying truck & trailer, towing back and then selling the truck & trailer out here. Most of the companies were not brokers but actual carriers. I did find one guy with a 28' enclosed trailer that gave me a awesome deal (less than 50c/ mile) just cause he had an open trailer and will be in seattle for thanksgiving.
I did have a terrible experience in the past with a uship broker. Paid the broker, car picked up, then driver asked receiver for an extra $700. By the time I got back to the broker he was off uship (and uship wanted nothing to do with it). It seems now you can hold payment on uship until item is delivered so maybe its better now.
I used Montway and it cost me $800 to move a car from Oregon to Illinois, but they are a broker as mentioned above so it is a gamble for sure.

I used a broker shipacar direct and getting the car out here was fine but resolving some damage in transit was not.
When moving for work I have used reliable before and they are a+ awesome but cost premium
