Selling my house to move to Virginia. House has a 2 car garage attached and a 22x30 heated/insulated shop in back.
Listing on zillow: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8770-Tamarack-St-NW-Coon-Rapids-MN-55433/1559345_zpid/
Most of my neighbors are car enthusiasts. They have been great to live near for help, knowledge, and sharing tools. They made a request that I try to sell the house to a like-minded individual.
Whats up with the weirdly fenced concreted area?
It's a dog run. He can do his business and dig all he likes back there, but the rest of the yard is off limits for that activity. It was installed when I bought the house, but it has been a nice feature to have with a lot that isn't several acres.
good idea. my dog would hop that fence like its nothing though. I've seen him clear five ft without touching and climb over a 6 ft fence

I wish I had the casholio, looks like a nice home. Though I'm not an over north person.... I prefer south of the river lol... that shop though. GL selling the place and with the move to a warmer climate!
Thanks for the compliments.

Homes so cheap in the middle states. (Chicago not withstanding)

I also left my job. You could buy the house, get my old job, and I'll even sell you one of my vehicles. Basically you could step right into a comfortable middle class life in Minnesota.
I don't own a snow-blower, but I will throw one in the deal if that's what you need to close this.
Great-looking house! Nice yard, and those garages... mmmmmmm
Taxes seem really reasonable considering the size of the yard, extra garage, etc.
Yes, the taxes are not too bad. They did go up recently after the county appraiser came by last summer, but it wasn't a big move.
In my searching I have found that most houses with this much garage space are much larger/more expensive. I think this balance is nearly perfect for a single guy or small family (let's be honest: you can always use more shop space).

how tall is the ceiling in the shop? Will it support a real lift?
I'm pretty sure the ceiling is 10', but I can double check that for you. I assume you mean a two post lift? If so it is not tall enough.
My wife confirmed 10' ceilings.
Price is reduced to $217,500. Buy yourself a heated shop before winter comes!
Side note. Do you know what color/brand stain is on that porch. I just bought a house and want to redue the deck before winter and I'm digging the color.

I don't recall. I think it was a cedar color of behr paint/stain. I got it at home depot. If you are local I have most of the 5gal bucket left and you can have it for free.
One more price drop. Now $207,500
that would be tempting if we weren't moving to rochester. GLWS
