its a kit car... in Philly
what say the masses?
I would love to build that into something. If the shell is all there and thee is windshield glass available, you cant go wrong.
Some of the replicas were built with an aluminum monocoque central tub with steel subframes fore and aft.
Not sure why someone would hack out the tail for huge lights though.
This is where I'd love to see a 50s-60s kit car expert chime in. My late father owned a speed shop in the 60s-70s, and was a distributor for Kellison. Kellison had a D-Type Jag rear clip they sold, as well as fiberglass E-Type bodies for drag cars. I wonder what maker came up with this.
Some money to be made here. The backup light alone is worth a few bucks (same one on my Vixen). Tempting as its pretty close to me here in Frederick MD.
Glad I have too many projects, this would be a lot of fun, wonder if the chassis is homemade or something done by a kit manufacture in England?
Oh wow... I'm also in the "want!" category... unfortunately, I'm also in the "already buried in projects..." category. But hoping TurnerX19 can get more info.
The seller got back to me, said it is just a shell, no engine or transmission. Did not answer my questions about the chassis or suspension.

Chances are they don't know. Looks like a LBC base of some sort. Perhaps a TR3 or TR4 - going by the wire wheels? Having a separate frame and body prone to rusting, I seem to recall those were popular kit donors for a while.
I wonder if this might be the same brand of kit:

Maybe... the fenders look different... at least from this angle. And the engine "bump" and doors look different:
Might as well copy the rest of the pics for future reference...
Especially since there are only 4 of them.
Seller got back to me to say he thinks it is sold, to be picked up today. We'll see. The one bolt on wheel with 3 wires tells me it is probably some sort of Triumph chassis.
