As it sits, this is a very niche car.

This isn’t your usual quiet hybrid. Knobby tires are loud and inefficient, but you can travel down dirt/gravel roads care free.

Perfect for car camping and out door weekend adventures.

The tires/roof rack do hinder the average MPG (still currently getting mid 30s driving normally. Can get close to 40 if he tries).

Before these mods, he was getting 52+.

Car will come with a set of studded winter tires on steelies.

---

All done late 2022:

  • Priusoffroad 1.5” lift
  • 205/75R15 General Grabber AT2s
  • EGR refresh
  • New OEM plugs
  • Catch can install
  • Depo headlights
  • LED high/low bulbs
  • EcoHitch 2” receiver

The bad:

  • Normal dents and dings from a daily driver.
  • As with most higher mileage Priuses, it will most likely need its ABS module replaced at some point soon. Currently, the pump runs excessively.
  • Needs rear brakes.

I took one down a mild trail once or twice and the abs & TC were freaking out the whole time. The brake booster uses a pump, so you hear the whizzing and banging. The car was angry.

I remember the same experience in the snow with one.

I'd be curious to see how those tires effect fuel mileage.

I totally do not recall posting this, but I see my question was clearly addressed in the post.  Maybe it was an edit, but it clearly effects the mileage.
