5w50 oil is good for 15 hp?

Maybe it was the thermostat that did it. Or they took out the 80/90 and replaced it with 5/50.
Always a let down when you see "manual" listed as the transmission, yet interior shots only show two pedals. 
I wasnt a big fan of these when new, but somehow they've grown on me and this post made me search. A Silver 2007 is on ebay for $6,000 less, but without the extra 15hp obviously!
