Hey GRMers,
My car didn't hit reserve on BaT, which came as a surprise to me. I wanted to list the car here too, because ultimately I want the car to go to another enthusiast. It is by no means perfect, and it has a few minor issues and accident history, all of which is documented in the listening. I will certainly clarify further if necessary.

The basics:
1997
5-Speed
Modena Luxury Interior
LTW Wheels
63,300 miles
All the requisite details can be found in the BaT writeup as well as my answers for questions in the comments. I was asking for $13,750, but I would be more than happy to make a deal with someone from Grassroots. Please let me know if you have any questions- I'd be more than happy to answer them here, or you can shoot me an email at cadeprospo@gmail.com
Thanks for looking everyone!

Given the color and low miles I'm shocked you didn't hit your reserve. Nice car, good luck with your sale! I just sold my E36 track car...
In reply to docwyte :
Thanks Doc - congrats on the Turbo by the way! I think the accident(s) and fact that it was tracked approximately 10 times (not a ton, but enough of a deterrent I suppose) probably held it back. I was pretty bummed too. E36 M3 happens, right?
As previously mentioned, I really just want the car to go to an enthusiast who will drive it. I'd love to see it find a home on this forum, as most here are aware of what awesome cars these are.

Yeah, the accident and airbag deployment is what killed you for sure. It's the proper color and has low mileage but with the airbag deployment you may struggle to get the $14-15k that you want.

Reserve auctions generally do worse than no-reserve auctions on BaT in my experience. I think the write-ups on BaT also favor no-reserve auctions. I didn't think the verbiage was particularly kind to your car...led of with accidents and track history right out of the gate.
I also think it is late in the car buying season. I think it would have met your number as a No-Reserve auction anytime between March and May.
Good luck with the sale. It's a beautiful car that I'd be proud to own, and I think your price is in the right range.
In reply to Tyler H :
Thank you Tyler. I felt similar, but I wanted to disclose early on that the car had that history. I believe you're correct, though, and I felt many of the buyers weighed that took heavily against the car's positives. Oh well.
Do you have any other recommendations for where to list? I placed a buy in now on ebay motors, and I was considering posting on facebook marketplace tonight.
Having sold a car at no reserve on BAT I’d have to agree with Tyler H.
The problem is that for the duration of the auction, except for the last 10 minutes, the stress you will endure is indescribable. I think I lost 5 years of my life lol.
At the end I ended up selling it for twice what I wanted originally.
In reply to Slippery :
You're so right. Heck, even with the reserve, I was sweating like nobody's business. Managed to drag a few co-workers into watching the last minute antics, too.
If any of you know any fellow GRMers who would be interested in the car, please let me know!
Thank you as well ManhattanM! I assume you know the pain of owning a nice car in/near the city, too :)
Woo- against all odds (or most), I seem to have made a sale with a buyer on eBay, contingent upon a PPI. Buyer was actually a bidder on BaT, so it's come full circle. We ended up making a deal within spitting distance of the reserve, so I think we're both getting a fair deal. Thanks to all who commented and looked here.
