Good:

149k miles (will get exact number tonight). F-250 Supercab (Half doors in rear).
New Take-off 2015 bed and tailgate.
Cab corners replaced and entire cab repainted in Fall 2015.
Clean doors off of a Texas truck installed in Fall 2015.
Electronic 4wd w/locking hubs.
Oil pan replaced at dealer a few years ago. This is an "engine out" procedure.
ZF 6-Speed. Clutch replaced a few years ago when oil pan replaced.
New rotors/pads/calipers on all 4 corners in 2014.
Good Toyo Open Country A/Ts.
Coolant flushed and replaced with proper HD coolant in 2014. Also installed new thermostat, radiator hoses, Dayco serpentine belt and Radiator cap at same time.
Only mods are AEM intake and MBRP Exhaust. Installed by PO. Truck has NEVER had a tuner or anything.
Oil changed every 5000 miles MAX and used either a Mobil 1 or Motorcraft Filter. Fuel filter replaced every 10000 miles using either Motorcraft or Purolator Filter.
A/C works great. Heater blend door replaced in 2014 along with blend door actuator. The vacuum motor can be slow at times, and sticks occasionally in the "defrost" position.

Bad:

Front fenders still have flares that matched old bed. Hood has some paint flaking near cowl.
Billet grille sucks.
Doors are rust-free, but used. Had some dents/minor scratches. Could used rubbed out at the very least.
Wheels are corroded to hell. Could use polished or powder coated. Steering wheel and shift knob quite worn. Not ugly, but not new.
Floor mats have seen better days.

Background:
My father bought this in fall of 2013. He is the second owner. First was a family friend who used it as his "shop truck" (tax write-off) for a small machine shop he owns. PO was retiring and wanted to buy one last new truck. A few years ago, he had the local Ford Truck dealer replace the oil pan. For those unaware, this requires the engine to come out, be drained of fluid, and placed on the stand inverted in order to properly cure the RTV. Clutch and associated hydraulics were also replaced at that time.

Being a Michigan truck, it did have some rust, primarily in the bed and doors.. Truck was side-swiped by a Mercedes in Dec 2014 2015. We replaced the bed with a 2015 take-off unit with matching 2015 tailgate. Cab corners were replaced. Doors were replaced with 4 used one from Texas. All glass was pulled and body shop re-sprayed the entire cab. Planned on spraying the hood and front fenders (pulling flares), but decided to sell the truck.

The ZF-6 is more of a 5-speed. There is a low "creeper" gear for doing whatever the hell you do with low gear. This apparently allows you to pull out lesser vehicles while keeping 3.73 gears for highway mileage in the high teens.

I have good pictures that I will post up later this evening. Also have a picture showing the bed "damage" from the 2014 accident.

Sorry, there was a miscommunication on the mileage from my dad. Updated the post, but was unable to change the thread title. Also added pictures.

Dropped the price a bit. Had a few interested parties, but nobody with cash in hand (can you hold it, I need to get a loan, whatever). Obviously wiling to be more flexible for someone of of here vs. some guy off of Craigslist.

In reply to Mazda787b:

Unfortunately, loans will be a problem with a truck this old, so you'll be limited to buyers with other means. Reduces the pool a bit. Looks like decent truck. Wish I was in the market.

Thanks, I understand that part completely. My father didn't have a hard time getting a loan on the truck through our credit union, despite the age. However, they are also one of the few that will grant loans for collector cars and the like.

I might throw it on eBay this weekend if nobody bites. That is, after I dig out back issues of GRM walking you through selling a vehicle on eBay.

Have you tried any ford diesel forums?

No I haven't. This is pretty much the only forum I frequent anymore.

I try not to be the guy who signs up just to sell something, but that's a great idea. Thank you.

Thanks to those that suggested a truck forum. Buyer did a fly-and-drive from Baltimore. Truck is headed to Alaska eventually!

Figured this would be an easy sell on a diesel forum.

You'll need to log in to post.
