Saw this on BAT. I have a bad want now.
I lived in Rome for a couple years in the late eighties and my neighbor had a car just like that. Good memories.
I was once told, "Never buy a car in the rain, or at night". They always look good when wet.
I really like that car, but the seat covers and repaint (plus 130K miles) would keep me from calling it "near mint".
I guess the motor swap would too, but I LIKE that motor, so I'm prepared to give him a pass!
Thanks for sharing!
Unf, I want...no...NEED that in my life.
I have no place to keep the spares though. :begins researching storage unit costs and classic Fiesta message boards:
Nice looking car. New York Tags. 130,000 miles. 1979 Fiesta. Zero rust.
And what kind of tires are on the front?

+1. Look at the sills, sorry rocker panels near the trailing edge of the door and the rear Q panel.
Still, if it's as advertised it could be fun. It's 15 going on 16 years since I raced a Fiesta so the nightmares, nervous twitches and involuntary tremors have started to fade to the point I'd almost consider thinking about not saying 'no way, not never' to another one!
It’s got bad enough I’ve been pursuing UK ad’s for MkII XR2’s with the 5 speed and 1.6L CVH Engine, I always loved these back in the 80’s
You can import cars using drive on drive off for around $2K and at least in Michigan it's easy to legaly register them as long as they are 25 years old.

I loved them then, and I still do. That Ford of Europe look still resonates with me. If I ever hit a big lottery jackpot, I'm going to have dozens and dozens of obscure Euro and JDM cars parked in my heated, underground parking structure.

Fixed for you
Now back to Uncle Festers.
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine:
Good point.
I frequently see northern cars referred to as "rust free", and what they mean is "only a little bit of rust on the visible panels, but I've certainly never crawled under the car or used a magnet on it to see if it is full of bondo".
It's all in the perspective.
