If I had the room I'd pick this up as a project. Always loved the way the Alfa V6s sound, and I dig the funky de Dion rear with inboard brakes.

Bad flex discs in the driveshaft...does that repair get infinitely more complex due to the fact this is a transaxle car?

It's been a while since I owned one but I think you can get at them without too much disassembly.

Its not an overly bad job.  If I remember correctly the Milano has a removable brace where the middle disk bolts in that makes pulling the driveshaft out and putting it back in much easier.  I was told to put all the bolts and nuts back in the same place they came out, I ignored that, and also loosely install the DS and run the motor for a bit to settle everything.
