I want to put her in my garage and do a complete overhaul and drive her to the PVGP Car Show in 5 years. Its so good I have no time or money to indulge my fantasies.

I had someone offer to trade a Series II for my Jeep M170 a few years back. Unfortunately, the Landy was dow in Florida, and I was in Chicago. Couldn't work out logistics.
Still wish I had made that trade. I'd love a vintage Series or even better an Austin Gipsy.
That seems like a great price. If I was in the position to start a frame replacement project right now I'd be tempted. How much is a new frame anyway??
Looks like about $3k for a chassis. Figure buy for $5000, restore for $10k? How much would it be worth?
A bugeye! Not the most common variant.
Frame swap is relatively straightforward, I did the bulk of one in a weekend after some careful prep work. Those footwells need some work as well, but all parts are available. Rovers North is a good source for tech info if you want to learn more.
I don't think you'd be able to buy it, flip it and make a profit. I don't know what the market is exactly right now, but there's enough work ahead in this to make that an unlikely proposition.
