I don't know that I'd ascribe some majesty to fiberglass. Is it cool? Heck yeah, but saying it's purpose built competing against ferraris is overly grandiose. It and it's brother the Carallo were bodykits.
Knudsen built this before the Tojan/Carallo. Purpose built? Sure. It's purpose was to be visually loud.
Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the biggest thirdgen apologizers there is. But they were used as a canvas for a lot of fiberglass in the 80s.
