All right. While we're still under a caution, I want you to go back out on that track and hit the pace car.
Hit the pace car?
Hit the pace car.
What for?
Because you've hit every other goddamned thing out there, I want you to be perfect.
I raced a SpecMiata for two years (2005/6) at Waterford Hills, a track the local SCCA crowd thinks is rough, and there wasn't a scratch on the car. I was running in the thick of things, 4th place to 7th sort of. I'm number 27. Now, every car I see looks like it's been through the wars.
I'd run it in our NASA group but have no desire to go towards SCCA or runoff crowd, they seem to either take out 1/4 of the field in a crash or worse have sent like 5 people to the hospital over the past couple of years.
I don't believe they would let that car run in the SCCA SF region in that condition. And as I recall, rubbing ain't racin' here. But it's been a few years and maybe things have changed...
Local spec miata isn't hardgy-bardgy at all - go check out your local groups and see. If you're talking the pointy end at one of the championship series with folks looking to go pro, sure.
If the belts and fire are in date and the engine is healthy, that's an ok deal - might be a great deal if they're willing to deal. It needs MAYBE a door, and a front fender and it'd look 100x better if that matters to you. I bought a spec miata that was completely bent and went racing with it, best fun you can have and you don't have to worry about making it worse, lol.

Well how 'bout that, a side we don't have to fix.

I don't want you spoiled, Buck.
