Steve Magnante is selling "The Funny Fairmont". This is an altered wheelbase two-door post Fairmont with a 4.6 Cobra motor with a lot of mods. He seems to be getting around okay but not great and he's quite honest about his situation. He said he's selling his home and some other vehicles as well. The car is very cool and I wish him the best with the sale. Thought folks here would want to know (and who knows, maybe someone here will make him the right offer).
Match Bash Ford for the modern era. Steve is selling his Funny Fairmont
Not sure if this is the best place to put this, mods can move it as needed.
He must have massive hospital bills, even selling his house.
Almost any of us are one medical crisis away from being in the same situation, even if we are insured.

One of thexmany reasons why we need single payer. No one should have to massively alter their life like this during a health crisis. He needs this stuff to have something to look forward to. Just hope he recovers.
I was just thinking about this car in the past week.
Mid-teens is more than reasonable for a one-of-one custom built daily drivable AWB car that car run 12s, IMO.
In reply to Russian Warship, Go Berkeley Yourself :
While I don't shop for things like this, I agree that mid-teens seems very reasonable. Needs a wild paint job, like a camo with bass boat metalflake in different colors, and a noticeable but not annoying exhaust.

I was skirting around the subject, but I agree.

I know it's still a bit unpopular but having lived in Europe, I can tell you, it's far from perfect but a ton better than our E36 M3 show
I saw this car on the road once near the CT/Mass border. Super cool.
Barret Jackson should step up and put this in their next auction.
In reply to Woody (Forum Supportum) :
If they do, they should double the sales price, waive fees and all the money to Steve
In reply to Docwemple :
I think Steve is modestly underestimating his own star power. It's a weird car, but it should bring a lot more than he's asking for it.
I would imagine he is looking for a quick sale.

That's what I was thinking. The story, history, and documentation makes it worth a fair bit more than what he's asking, I would think
In reply to Peabody :
I agree as well. This should go to auction. I believe there are enough people who know about his medical condition and this car that bidding would be fast and furious.
