Indiana title but NC plates? Iirc you cant get nc reg without an nc title.

The story I have heard says Studebaker didn't have enough money to tool up and build their own pickup beds, so they bought them from Dodge, which didn't quite match up with the Stude cab. 

Cool old truck, big project.

This is correct for the wide beds. Some champs got the old Stude bed that started production in 1949 with the 2R series trucks. The chassis is still from the 2R also, it only looks like a Lark.
