THIS LISTING HAS CHANGED
This car has competed in several GRM Challenges, 1st Concourse 2004, 2nd Autocross 2005.
May 2004 issue of GRM contains an article about the car. A copy will be included with car.
I used the car for the first 9 years for auto-x, then track days for the last 3 years. I am switching to Miata’s to test parts I want to develop in retirement. I don’t have space for both.
This is an excellent car for someone to learn on that doesn’t want to run their daily driver on the track.
Every panel on the car has been modified;
Front and rear fiberglass bumpers.
Lift off fiberglass front hood with radiator air extractor vent.
Doors have been gutted with lift out windows.
Sunroof was removed and replaced with a steel panel.
Engine/rear trunk cover is one piece fiberglass replica of original.
All 4 fenders have been flared and should cover up to 15x9 wheels depending on offset.
A total weight of 1900 lbs was reached by removing most of the interior and light weight panels. Interior door panels and console are fiberglass. Driver’s seat is aluminum Butler Built.
Wheels are 14x7 team dynamics with Toyo R888’s size 225-50x14 using 1” spacers.
Front tie rods flipped to top to help bump steer, rear tie rods are aluminum with heim joint ends.
Front springs are 550# and rears are 400# on adjustable Koni struts.
Engine is basically stock with a 3 angle valve job and mild porting, stock exhaust manifold to a 2 ½ “ flowmaster muffler. There is a heavy duty clutch but I can’t remember the brand.
Car is located in Stuart, FL. I can deliver car within 250 miles.
Asking price is $3000
Call or text me at 772-486-1858 I don’t always have my phone with me so leave a message.
This is how it was built for the Challenge

You guys surprised me! Even if nobody wants the car I expected some sort of comment from someone that might remember the car.

That thing is fantastic. Love the MKI MR2's.
Sounds like a helluva deal for someone. Sadly I lack the funds for a dedicated track car
Good luck selling her though, someone will be getting an amazing piece of kit.

I remember the car. I was there in '04 (black GLH) and we talked quite a bit about your car. Seriously nice car!

I always liked that car. I recall driving it at the Challenge back when it looked like the first photo. Very nice! 1900 pounds is so light! Seems like a good deal for someone who wants a quick little autocross car or track car.

Hmmm, is there any reason this car couldn't be tagged for the street?

Glad/sad youre so far from Cincinnati...

The car could be registered. The front turn signals need to be reinstalled. Front wiring harness is included. Door glass just lifts out but the original doors are included but need to be painted black.
I am sure that it will not pass any emissions testing.

I remember being blow away at how nicely done the bodywork was on this car. Someone's going to get a fun toy!
Didn't the magazine do an article in the build.
