My last Denali xl was an amazing family vehicle. This + a 4wd truck would solve my family condundrums...

You really do need something to haul your growing fleet of BP-powered cars around with.

I know the plan has been to replace the xB with a M/T AWD Element, which also convienently can hold a shifter kart in the back and is an excellent camping vehicle, then to do some light upgrades to make it more suitable for towing a dolly. But then THIS comes along. Commute wise the fuel economy wouldn't work, but the EGT is potentially a viable option to daily at this time.
And as of 3 minutes ago, I've emailed the dealership.
So a couple things. They are stupid comfortable and have awesome seat heaters. Fun to drive in anger. Also the sump is kinda strange in the oil pan and it lends to uncovering if you start getting into hard launching. They’re kind of a miserable pain to work on. But ls2.
Oooh. One of these sometimes parks next to me at the train station lot, and it is very envy inducing! It sounds frickin’ awesome just cranking up and idling through the parking lot.

I came across it looking for alternatives for a friend who is cross shopping through FoRS and a newer Allroad (I think GLA45 is their answer to be honest). I hadn't realized that these had fallen below $10k. It would tow better then the Element (which is what I've been planning on getting) and provide better performance, but at the cost of half the fuel efficiency, far worse day to day utility, not being a pleasure to work on and easy on consumables. I'm tempted, but still heavily leaning towards an Element. I know it won't make me smile whenever I mash the go pedal, but the flexibility of it allows me to daily, camp, light towing (after I do some minor upgrades a dolly and BG chassis or Miata is doable) and I can get parts at yards easily. The Aero's performance in tempting, but in a platform that I wouldn't track it'd also be a bit of a waste.
