I did some work on this car, and the owner is a cool guy. Car is fast.
Interesting. Not very far from me. Been thinking about a similar build "some day," but not as wild. Will have to see what bidding is like towards the end...
That's awesome. I would remove all the +5hp stickers and put a Baby on Board sticker to increase the sleeper factor.
I'm curious to see what it goes for. Seems BAT is always 30% inflated when the gavel falls.
Bummer they didn't take the time to do heat - much harder after the fact than to do it in the conversion. Otherwise hot and appreciate the stock look.
Why so much power?
I don't look at BaT very often, but I'm surprised they listed the car...being that it's not perfect. At no-reserve it could wind up being a smokin' deal for someone willing to button up a few things.

It could be as simple as running some heater hose to the core from the water pump. I have swapped LS engines into multiple 240s and have done them with or without heat.
"Rear end has a little play" and an oil leak noted. This is giving me vibes of a car that was ridden hard and put away wet and then had a bit of detailing done for the sale. Could be a good deal but I would expect replacing or re freshing many parts.
All 8.8's have that little bit of play. Totally normal.
I mean, it's a Sloppy Mechanics-style turbo LS Volvo. The whole point is to abuse it and it will keep on asking for more.
