Anyone else feel like this is the 300zx Nissan should have built?

I'm guessing he has no resolution to the hood clearance issue. Even then, it would ruin the lines of the car, which is sort of the only reason I'd want to deal with one of those anyway. Solve that, and I'd be all over it.

I talked to the guy (technical- about swap details, not purchase).

One of the few manual trans swaps that almost works for the Q45 is mating it to a Z32 tranny. It is reasonably well documented, and advocated by a couple of experienced people on NICO.

I think the issue he has in this swap is that he left the trans in the Z32. Yep. Hood clearance issue.

I am kinda a fan of the Z32, just not too sure about it once it has a hood scoop the size of a suitcase.
