This is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero V8, located in Fort Worth, TX. The last in the trilogy of cars that have to leave my shop. This was the first car I built. Learned a lot, made a lot of friends during the build. Kinda like letting go the first born, but it's time to move this on.

Body

Pretty much stock Fiero. Car started out as an '86 SE, notchback. Bought the GT parts and converted it to the fastback look. Added the rear quarter scoops, filled in the "Pontiac" logo on the headlight door. Taillights are semi-custom with round taillights hidden behind NOS outer covers. Upgraded the headlights to the '88 control box. Also converted over to separate Hella round hi/lo beam lights. Paint is good considering it is about 20 years old. Car had new windshield and side windows installed during the build.

Interior

Pretty much not-stock Fiero! Rollbar painted body color and installed. Rollbar also ties back to shock towers and not to the firewall (more rigid). Black carpets and A/B pillar trim. Dash and console is from PISA (defunct Fiero parts manufacturer). VDO gauges. Door cards are included and need to be reupholstered.

Chassis

The 86 engine cradle was replaced with an '88 and modified to support a SBC V8. Engine is shifted 2.5" to the left for better balance and so that the crank pulley doesn't extend into the wheelhouse. Chassis has been notched to clear the engine and transaxle and has been reinforced. Koni coilovers are used at the rear and Street Dreams lowering spindles with RCC front suspension is used, er, up front! C4 brakes and Baer Eradispeed 2 piece brakes are at all four corners. Mark Williams axles included.

Transaxle

A NOS transaxle was sourced during the build. A GMPP Torsen LSD was installed before the transaxle was installed in the car. Adapter plate will be included in the sale.

Pricing

Would like to sell the car minus the engine at $7500. If you really really really want the engine, let's discuss! Would like to keep it for a future project, but if it helps kickstart your next project, let's talk.
