What's Twin Turbo, AWD, MT, v6, AND in challenge budget?

I think these are all wheel steer too. 

Loved those when I was in high school.  Wouldn’t want to have to work on one nowadays.  I can’t remember if the Stealth got AWS or not.  I seem to recall some of the more advanced features were only on the Mitsubishi version.

Most of the Mitsu guys delete AWS anyway, since the system pretty much leaked from the factory. 

Still a bit steep for an undiagnosed run and die IMHO.  These cars are not for the faint of heart in terms of finicky maintenance needs, which I think is the primary reason why the models were canned after 8 years.  

They do look amazing when dropped a couple inches though... 

I have considered going to look at it, and offering $1000. There's a beautiful one that runs and drives great (supposedly) for $6500 also right now in Chicago, so its not like these are worth much anymore. 

I'd think the running issue is a significant vacuum leak or maybe a MAP or TPS sensor not functioning. 

I'm close enough that I could probably drive it home without needing to use the gas pedal LOL

Only problem is I dont know what id do with it when I got it running. 

Man i want this. Its the closest thing to a gsx without the high price and crank walk issues lol

Drove through there about 5 years back when I got off at the wrong exit.  It is the closest I think I have been to being in a post apocalyptic wasteland.

I traded mine 3kgt VR4 to a guy in Gary Indiana for a nice 2.3 16v. It was a great trade.

I had a former neighbor/old HS friend who had one of these & loved it. He was struggling with a vacuum leak once so I went over to help him. You could hear the leak easily on the back side of the engine, but there was no way to see it, or even try to spray carb cleaner to find it. These cars make DSM ownership seem sane. 

I had a 92 3000GT VR4 for a while. It was fun but was finicky. I remember that any time it would build boost it would make a screaming noise. It took a lot of time to figure out that there was a vacuum line for the clutch that had a one way valve in it. Someone had replaced that hose with one that lacked a valve. Strange that the clutch was assisted because even with the assist, it was the heaviest clutch I have experienced in a car.

Yeah I remember being shocked at how heavy the clutch was, like you needed hooves. 

A friend had a VR4 in college. It was crazy fast for the time, at least to me. Crazy complicated too. 

A local rallycrosses on of these in PAWD and it is stupid fast.  It launches harder on dirt than any car I've ever been in.  He even got 4th with it at the 2017 Nationals.

As mentioned in this thread, he seems to ALWAYS be working on it.
