1965 Buick Skylark - the end of my journey

With the addition of the red Jag, the skylark has got to go (sad because I just got it up and going - but I'm moving on). Willing to let it go cheap to a GRMer. It looks better in pics than it does in person, haha. But the frame is absolutely solid.

Yep, 2bbl. Was supposed to be rated at 210 hp and 310 ftlbs (that's where the wildcat 310 came from). It's a 300 ci v8. Very smooth and quiet. Now that I have the choke spring on the right way it starts really easily hot, cold, and in-between.

Apparently the higher spec option was simply a different intake manifold and a 4bbl which would bump the quoted power up to 250 hp or so.

Also interestingly, the 63 version was all aluminum. The 64 had aluminum heads, and this 65 has aluminum nothing. Apparently Buick knew it was the material of the future but they couldn't get the manufacturing right.

I just miss my rambler and having a rough around the edges 60’s v8 cruiser around.

Don't part this out, this is the last car I should be buying but if it comes to it I'll come pick it up without asking for permission.  SWMBO and I were just checking out the rear of a Skylark at power tour, so sexy.
