FE2o3 = Rust = Porsche 914

These cars are so much fun but a magnet for rust. Lets share are stories and any advice we have for eliminating or slowing down rust.

What is this 914 of which you speak???

1) Check the hell hole. If you don't know what that is, find out before you buy a 914.

2) Check the hell hole.

4) There are seals for the front fender to cowl area. Water gets in there and is nasty.

5) Check the base of the windshield.

6) Did I mention the hell hole? If it's rusted out, the battery acid can drip down onto the longitudinal (or long as it's referred to) and rust that out, making the car break in half. Check the doors and ensure they open and close properly. Check the door gaps too. If the passenger side rear wheel is toed in at the top, RUN!!!

Love mine. Very fun to drive.

A 914 is on my "someday" list. I'd have a hard time picking between and Elan and a 914.

Sorry I have no buying advice, but I'm jealous if that helps. Good luck!

Sorry Rudy, was that in introduction or a canoe?

What 914 do you have?

Rudy's been here since 2009. Not a canoe.

Thanks Tom, I still don't understand his question.
