Alpine.

The Dino is a Fiat.

You are incorrect. While Ferrari did sell a slightly detuned version of the engine to Fiat for the Fiat Dinos in both open and closed configurations, the pictured cars is not one of those Fiats, it is a Dino. Dino was a separate marque created by Enzo in commemoration of his son, as an experiment in producing a lower output smaller car, as he wanted to keep the Ferrari name for the bigger engine stuff.

In the end it didn't matter much as just about everyone calls the Dino a Ferrari anyway.

I'll add another option for funky little car I'd like to have in my stable - how about this one?

Dino, one of the best looking cars of all time!

I'd need to look inside an Alpine to really decide. They're both visually stunning, but I was blown away by the inside of the Dino when I saw one about a year ago. I would be very happy living in that cockpit.

Dino. One of those cars that whenever you see one "in person" you realize what a nearly perfect design it is. Not to say it isn't gorgeous in pictures, but somehow it looks even better in the flesh. And I don't even think it is the best looking Ferrari (the 275GTB looks better) but it pretty close.

Damn close, but the curved fenders of the Dino win me out.

For me it is the Alpine. It just works for me. BUT when you throw the Stratos in to the mix. I would pick the Lancia. Just me.

Dino, easily. ...and I don't think the Dino is all that gorgeous, but the Apine is quirky in it's scraping itself along the ground all along kind of way. .......Then again my opinion is worth every cent you're paying me for it.....but still I'm right.

Dino, just beautiful. I remember when dino's were not crazy in price because they were thought to be too Fiat.

If I had the cash for a Dino or Alpine, I'd buy a Miura instead. And a good fire extinguisher and a lot if insurance

I saw that... it is alleged that Carroll Shelby's 2000GT, the very first one, MF10-100001, sold for a similar price...

Anyway... in any case.. neither is affordable to most of us on GRM

Yup, record-setting for a Japanese car.

FWIW, the craziness in the Ferrari market is driving the price up on the other Italian and questionably Italian (Pantera) cars right now.

So, a 200Gt is $1.15m
Dino, lets sayy $400k, heck, let's make it $0.5m as a nice round # for a really good one.
A110 is the bargain of the bunch. Let's say mint record setting car at $100k
Add that lot together and we're just reaching the top of the market for a Mura SV

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1057134_1971-lamborghini-miura-p400-sv-sells-for-record-1-7-million-at-amelia-island-auctions $1.7m

So, aesthetics aside, let's all buy A110's. Sad thing is it wasn't long ago all these cars were affordable, not just the A110, and that's almost out of the range of most people now.

To me, the 2000GT and the Miura are cars that the designers got about 75% right, but that last 25% is kind of clumsy.

Flame away...

How about a Puma GT. Looks like a cross between the Alpine and Dino. Plus the VW engine is a lot easier and cheaper to fix.

I agree. I'd take the Lancia over either of them any day.
