Now I have to check both the Classic and Grassroots forums daliy. Now I will be less productive.

Actually, I would rather keep the communities together in one site, but understand that thier may be marketing reasons.

Yes, all of the Classic posts were being credited to GRM's web statistics. You's guys should have your own voice!

I visit about 10 sites per day in my normal rotation of work/guerilla marketing job...and one more only ads a few minutes of 'work'

There's also the latest topic preview for each site, to keep you up to speed on what's going on at the other. And RSS feeds, if you're into that sorta thing.

Did I miss what happened to all the old forum entries? I miss them from either site location. All though I do agree...aarrggh.. another forum site, but I can learn to live with it. Although I do miss the GRM format, it seemed to me the most user-freindly and versatile design of all the forums I visit. Hope the design format concept will eventually make it here...with improvements over original. I especially like the new entry button that GRM uses although the new topics section is cool also. And the emoti-cons were cool.

New entry button? What do you mean?

I'm sorry, wrong wording. New Posts. Like on the GRM forum when logged in, each topic that has new post since you last visited. When you click "New Posts" it takes you to the first new post since your last visit to that topic. That way you don't have to go through what you've already read once. I like that feature in GRM, miss it here and wish other forum had that feature. But I do like the preview screen thats used here. Kinda neat watching it fill in while I type. Especially since the proof-reader in me always used the preview option to check my typing before posting. A carry over from my line of work. And I miss not being able to quote other posts in response.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I like the idea of it being separate from the other forum. I imagine that after a while it will attract a slightly newer (maybe older?) crowd; at the least one different that GRM.

For example: Here, maybe 5% of the time, the answer won't be Miata.

Lemme see if I can figure out how to do that new posts in this topic thing.

There IS a new since your last visit link up top, but it's not exactly the same thing.

Mitchell, I suspect default answer over here might be MGB.

I'm not sold yet. Still frustrated with the changes and find this "live preview" thing to my right annoying. I'm not keen on the format yet either. I like the black text/gray background on GRM better, it's easier on the eyes. But I'll get used to it once I find my way around.

So have all the old posts been discarded? I used to search them when I had a question about something and it would be a shame if they were gone.

You'll need to log in to post.
