There's been a bunch of Bond on TV this weekend. So, is the question of the best Bond car even worth discussing, or is the answer too obvious? (By the way, Felix Leiter's '64 T-bird might be a close second--I love those lines.)

My first Bond Movie was Four Your Eyes Only.
So the Lotus has a special place in my heart, but so does the Citroen.
The Aston Martin DB3 is the obvious choice, but I prefer the ultimate gaget car - the Esprit. Any car that doubles as a submarine and uses high explosives as a theft deterent is OK by me. Plus I can actually afford one!
Of them all, Id take the Oginal DB.
But the Toyota 2000 was maybe the most neat in a real world sort of way. I remember reading somewhere that Toyota built that as a one off car. Kinda cool.
Is it still around? Maybe at the Toyota home office?

The car from You Only Live Twice, the one of factory 2000GT convertible is lost. I have been told that by two big 200GT collectors.
I always wonder how a car that unique and important ends up lost? Maybe Tiger Tanaka took it home.
Ahhh Tiger...
"In Japan, Mr Bond, men come first and women come second"
Baaadaat dant da da...da da do da... daooo (I hope you get the idea...Its the 007 theme song. I just couldnt resist.)
LOL I have been dis orientated in a parking lot and couldnt locate my car, but I have never LOST it. Esp my one off car that was in a 007 movie...
I bet the Q has it, doing some reverse engineering!

I had the opportunity to drive one of the actual movie DB5 Astons from Goldfinger when it was up for auction.
It was the best car experience of my life. Scaring pedestrians in Scottsdale with the prop machine guns was priceless. I told Trey, then RM Auctions head of PR, I can die now.
I'm not biased or anything (me? No way!), but the Alpine in Dr. No set the standard for future Bond movies. Since then cars have always been an integral part of the series.
The DB5 (rightly) has more wow factor due to the gimmicks and the fact that it's a beautiful design in the first place. It's iconic because of it's starring role in the movie.
Now, if the question was which Bond car would you own if $$$ didn't matter, easy choice. DB5. I already have 2 Alpines. .....not that I'm biased...
At one time I remember that someone had re-created the 2000GT from a coupe, maybe 15 or so years ago. I also remember that Toyota may have scrapped the movie car, that it wasn't a production model...of course my memory isn't what it used to be...
Favorite Bond car is the Aston though...there really is no other he should be driving.
