I assume that you're doing this to save a few $$. I am sure places like Hollywood Speedo or Palo Alto Speedo can make you what you need that matches perfectly. Just curious.

Not bad! Hopefully you can get the longer needle in there so it matches, but it's unlikely anyone would notice offhand. I'm going to be converting a Smiths speedo to electronic shortly, I hope it works out as well as yours did.

The issue with the old needle from the mech gauge is its heavy!
