Zero bids. Ya think? :omg:
My first B was a '71. I loved that car, but - $45,000 "buy-it-now"? For a trailer queen? Nuh-uh.
I read in Hemmings that there is speculation that the MGB will be the next Big Healey. Really? While it may be the quintessential sports car and an icon, they made 30 gazillion of the things. Rare is something an MGB will never be. I can't grasp why anyone would want a trailer queen version of one. They are built to be driven, not stared at. A $45,000 restoration seems like a colossal waste of coin to me.
Heres a link to a site with a little more info http://www.mgexperience.net/phorum/read.php?42,751219,page=1
Agree, the TR6 will be the car everyone who can't afford Big Healey prices will gravitate to. Those that want looks over grunt will go to the MGA.
woot! big healeys are cool.
MGB's will never be there. TR6's will. I see a dozen B's for every TR6.
sjd who'd trade both B's for a TR6 in okay shape
The car is in such excellent condition that it clearly did not come out of a British factory in 1971 looking like that
No kidding... by the time any MGB made it across the pond, half the oil had leaked out of the engine...
I think the MGB is was the best sports car ever built...But none are worth 45K.
A little off the subject but I wonder if in twenty years some of us will be discussing (or cussin') a trailer queen Miata that someone wants way too much money for?
