If the weather holds out this weekend (big "if," too) I'll be doing some detailing this weekend: clay bar, polish, wax, rubber treatment, etc. This is all fun, right? And what's your favorite special sauce?

It is wet here this weekend. In fact it will rain for the next week. So we went from weeks at 40C (to hot to work) to raining cats and dogs.
Getting no work done on my cars.
Never tried a clay bar but same on the materials. Depends on what is on sale at the start of the season.
I use Griots polishing prep and polishing products, http://www.griotsgarage.com/category/car+care/car+polishing.do?nType=1 but like Eagle One Nano wax to finish with, http://www.eagleone.com/gel-wax-with-carnauba . Mothers products for wheels and chrome.

I use elbow grease. A good detailing to me is always a decent physical workout. We are having water use restrictions here and the cars are getting rather grungy. I am looking forward to playing some good music and doing the job on some weekend afternoon. Cheers Ron
I've used Griot's waterless car wash. It works pretty well when you need to do a quick wash and don't have access to water and/or time, but you do go through a bunch of microfiber towels. I bought their kit plus extra green towels.
My hope this year is to use it in my garage on the daily driver this winter to wash the road salf and grime off.
